Framing of the weight room is complete along with installation of exterior sheathing. Interior framing is complete and drywall is being installed in all areas. The reception area improvements are complete. Wall finishes are being installed in the kitchen and flooring will start soon.

North Addition – Framing complete. Exterior sheathing is going on.
Wrestling Room Addition – Structural steel is in place. Framing to start this week.
Kitchen Renovation – All structural steel work is complete. Framing in progress. Drywall to start next week.

North addition framing is underway. Kitchen reconstruction is in progress with structural steel for the new rooftop unit being installed. Framing is in progress. Front entry update is framed and electrical rough in complete. Waiting for drywall.

The new addition slabs are in place and exterior wall demolition is complete. The kitchen floor has been re-poured with electrical and plumbing underground work in place. Reconstruction of the kitchen will start next week. Steel for the additions will start next week.

Re-construction of the kitchen is underway. Foundations for the additions have been poured and the slab for the weight room is poured.

Excavation for the addition foundations is in progress along with demolition in the kitchen area.

Gunnison Community School was built in 1997 and has only minor needs to better serve 21st century faculty and student needs. We are exploring  options including addition and remodel. If the State mandates full-day kindergarten, those classes will move to the Lake school or an addition to the current GCS. Proposed modifications include expanding the kitchen to allow full meal preparation, security improvement and an addition to the weight room.
